Summary: Ten strangers are invited to spend an evening in a sprawling, eerie mansion, off the English coast. Among the colorful characters are, a sinister doctor; a dictatorial militarist; and, a zany impostor claiming royal blood. All of the guests, who find their host murdered, have something to hide, evil acts in their past. In collective terror, it dawns on the guests that they have been marooned on the island for only one purpose: All are to be murdered in retribution for their transgressions. They forfeit their lives in one horrible murder after another, all the while trying to figure out who the murderer is. Only three survive the man-made nightmare, one committing suicide at the surprising conclusion.
